Importance of Volunteers at Sam Houston Historic Schoolhouse Site
The volunteers that offer their time and talent here at Sam Houston Historic Schoolhouse are worth immeasurable value to the furtherance of education of different facets of the early 1800s’s life style for both children and adults.
There are many functions or events that call for help from our volunteers. Some of these are School Field Trips, where a class or several classes will come for the day to learn much about the times of Sam Houston.
Become a member of the Association. Sign up to be a volunteer. Make a monetary gift. Whatever your talents share with the schoolhouse, it would be greatly appreciated.
We, the members of the Sam Houston Memorial Association Board, encourage each of you to consider becoming both a member of our Association and a volunteer here on site. Your help is needed to continue the tradition started at this Historical Site many years ago. The tradition introduces Sam Houston and permits his contributions to be realized for generations to come.
“This project is funded under an agreement with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation, Tennessee Historical Commission, a Tennessee Historical Commission State-Owned Historic Site.”
